On June 15th I presented to the VRBPAC committee at the FDA. I have a feeling the presentation was water off a duck and ‘Top Men’ will be filing away my 4 minute presentation.

Many people in the population are already infected by SV40 virus and express T antigen.
the SV40 promoter with the 72bp repeat is bidirectional promoter. Thus its orientation upon integration doesn’t matter. It will express regardless of the orientation of integration.
