On an individual GP practice of maybe 1500 patients the incremental deaths from a 1:850 fatal shot merge into the background noise, and as an obstetrician if you deliver 400 babies a year 390 does not feel much different than 410. One clinic nurse a couple of years ago told me that the consulting cardiologists' staff reported about a threefold increase in volume of referrals.
I have not been able to find local or current VIHA (Island Health) reports (last infant mortality report had 61 from 2020-2022, about 3.4 per thousand live births).The provincial totals which I checked last month showed about 10% drop in total births in 2021 and 2022, again not really noticeable on a local scale. It would be very interesting and informative to have an opinion from somebody still working on the front line as data reporting from official sources is always "seasonally adjusted" or otherwise dubious.

Interestingly, for the XBB lots, they used ddPCR for testing 'identity of the RNA' whereas they used qPCR for previous lots. I asked for an ATIP on the lot CQA and much is redacted (natch!) but you may find it useful nonetheless. For example, if I get a call from the emergency department once a shift for a fetal demise and now I get 3 per shift , I knew something new was going on . The only thing new were the jabs . The pregnancy rate in the office is down about 40%. . You can’t unsee what has happened and it is all very sad .
