Okay, so finally got through the whole video, and have some thoughts.
The idea that the plasmids are a "valuable" adjuvant, and if they were removed "the vaccine wouldn't be so effective" comes from the mentality of traditional vaccines. Even if there was no plasmid, the LNP and resultant spike, and the PAMP signals from cell surface when spike appeared is more than enough of an "adjuvant".
IMO Bhakdi was more on target in his remark that if one toxic lymphocyte produces a protein that is nonself, it will be attacked and killed.
So lets take that comment and extrapolate in a slightly different way.. What happens if you turn all sorts of different cells in the body into a "factory" where it is producing non-self proteins? You actually have a similar situation to when you get an organ transplant, which the immune system sees as non-self foreign protein. If anti-rejection drugs are not given, we know what happens.
The mRNA platform as far as I can see doesn't even need plasmids to create this SAME issue of turning any cell that is transfected into a "non-self" protein producer. Surely the spike coming from the cells is enough to do that.
This platform has stepped over the line between molecular mimicry, which can result from traditional vaccines, to "cell rejection" wherever the many cells in the body are turned into a spike protein factory.
The very fact of mRNA being IN the heart muscles, and producing spike in the heart, seems to me to create a very similar situation to an "untreated" heart transplant rejection situation.
If that is immunologically sound, then wherever that mRNA goes, and whichever cell PRODUCES the foreign protein, will be treated similarly... ??????
So we aren't dealing with an "adjuvant" so much as we are dealing with a platform that by the very way in which it works, automatically turns the body against itself, to be seen as "non-self" because of the lack of an "off" switch.
If this hypothesis is correct, then the same thing will happen with all mRNA vaccines.
My next dinosaur thought (because I come from the SV40 polio era) is that even if regulators accept the existence of the plasmid, they will do what they did with SV40 and call it "adventitious". They will never use the word contaminant, for the same reason as the polio vaccine. SV40 was adventitious from the monkey kidney substrate as part of the process, so their reasoning may be similar, because "adventitious" sounds so much nicer than "contaminant".
